Mariantonietta Bagliato nasce nel 1985. La sua ricerca artistica è influenzata da un immaginario che trae le sue origini dal teatro di figura. Difatti, da anni collabora con un teatro di marionette creato dalla madre di origini praghesi, Ivana Bubnova. Nel campo delle arti visive la sua ricerca volge a creare un connubio tra questi settori, sperimentando varie discipline tra performance, installazioni, illustrazioni e azioni di arte pubblica. In tutti questi campi, l’indagine è ossessivamente orientata sui temi dell’identità fluida in cui l’io diventa un flusso frammentato della coscienza, un’entità difficile da bloccare. Il suo lavoro è caratterizzato da un uso sistematico delle stoffe utilizzate come codice visivo per bloccare il fluire del tempo. La stoffa, difatti, ha un  potere evocativo sinestetico, è un materiale prettamente umano in cui ciascuno può ritrovare parti di sé stesso. Gli elementi seriali caratterizzati da innumerevoli stoffe riflettono i diversi stati dell’essere bloccando l’identità liquida e rievocando in ciascun elemento delle piccole tracce di senso, piccoli barlumi di pienezza che lampeggiano istantanei nel buio inesorabile del presente, del nulla. Nei progetti di arte pubblica la pratica artistica richiede l’ interazioni con il pubblico rendendolo protagonista dei meccanismi delle idee progettuali. La stoffa diviene persona, con le sue diverse identità e con i suoi gesti unici e irripetibili dispersi nella serialità. Mariantonietta Bagliato was born in 1985. Her artistic research is influenced by the puppet theater. Since her  childhood, she has worked with puppets with strings made by her mother, Ivana  Bubnova, who was born in Prague. In the field of visual arts, her research  results in a  combination of different influences and she has experimented various techniques  such as performance, installations, drawings and public art projects. In all these  fields, the investigation has obsessively focused on the theme of “fluid” identity  according to which the self becomes a fragmented stream of consciousness, an entity  which is impossible to stop. Her work is characterized by the systematic use of the fabrics like visual  materials in order to stop the perpetual flow of the ego. I found that fabrics  express the evocative power of the collective unconscious memory. The cloth is a  purely  human material from which radiates the different moods of life and each  individual can find parts of themselves. The serial elements covered with  different fabrics, reflecting the different mask of the identity and  different  memories of everyone and they reflect some trace of sense, small lights of  fullness in the inexorable darkness and vacuity of this life. Within the projects of public art, the artistic practice enters the social fabric and the urban structure of the cities; however, the main concept  of her  work remains unchanged. The projects always require interaction with the  public, that becomes the main protagonist. The cloth is replaced  directly with people and their different identities with their unique and  inimitable gestures missing in serial action. All projects are “in progress”  because conceptually all elements could to be repeated to infinity.
